Roadstone snooker Club to host Cup Finals

ROADSTONE Snooker Club played host to the Dublin Cup Division One and Two Finals on Saturday, but just missed out on both counts.

In the former their B team was pipped 8-7 by Darcy McGees while in the Division Two decider, their C team was edged out 8-6 by Terry Rogers.

Still the host club did have something to celebrate on the day after their own Daniel Merrigan was crowned Dublin First Division Individual champion.

He came through four rounds to land the coveted prize beating Mark Farrell of Willows Snooker club 2-1 in the decider during which he recorded a break of 77.

Merrigan was also part of the Roadstone B team that recently won the Dublin Club Championships, beating hosts Darcy McGees in a play-off final that ran to 2am in the morning.

Mick Kearns, Shane Merrigan and Robert Redmond accounted for the other members of that Roadstone squad.
