By William O'Connor
THE Run for Rita 5k run/race challenge raised over €4,700 for Suzanne House in Tallaght Village.
Approximately 500 people turned up for this year’s event in Tymon Park in March and was organised by Glenda Curtis in memory of her mother Rita Savage from Kilnamanagh who passed away in 2008 after battling breast cancer.

Suzanne House is a community respite service, located in the heart of Tallaght Village. Families of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds pass through the doors of the service, all with one thing in common, they have a child with complex medical needs, life-limiting conditions.
Families of the children at Suzanne House take considerable comfort in the fact that their children are being cared for in a home-like environment, which is safe, secure and comfortable, in the reliable hands of the expert nursing team. Annually, 16 children attend Suzanne House.
To continue to improve, expand and provide the highest level of support to children at Suzanne House fundraising is vital.
