Scoil Santain’s Strictly Come Rince event goes Irish at the Maldron
By Mary Dennehy
GET your damhsa on for Scoil Santain this March 11, when a Strictly Come Rince event will take to the floor of the Maldron Hotel in Tallaght.
The evening will see the popular Strictly event go Irish, when three sets of eight dancers compete in a set dancing competition, with spaces still available for dancers interested in taking part.
Before the lively set dancing competition takes place, the school’s sixth class students will open the evening with a hip hop number and, following the competition, a communal céilí will swing its way onto the dance floor.
All funds raised on the night will go towards Scoil Santain’s running, maintenance and provision of extra curriculum activities and sports, with members of the wider community invited to attend on the night.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale for €10 and any local business which would like to support Scoil Santain is encouraged to take out a full page (€100) or half page (€50) advertisement in the event’s programme.
