A SECOND 24-hour public access defibrillator was launched in Kilnamanagh last week, on the railings of St Kevin’s Church.

The Kilnamanagh Community First Responder Group placed their first defibrillator at the Community Centre in the Elmcastle area of Kilnamanagh last summer, after spending two years fundraising for the life-saving medical device.

Now it is hoped that the second device, which contains no lock or code, will help to save lives.

Dr Niall Conroy from Kilnamanagh CFRG said: “We plan on installing defibrillators around the estate in the coming months and years, and we need your support to do this. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

“A special thanks to Craft Work Signs in the Greenhills Business Park for supplying our signs. Keep an eye out for our upcoming fundraisers and our free CPR/defibrillator training classes.”
