Seven accused in Dale Creighton attack to be sentenced

The sentencing of seven people for their part in an attack which resulted in the death of Dale Creighton (20) in Tallaght on New Year’s Day in 2014 is underway.

Dale, who lived in Glenshane, died from injuries he sustained on the Charlie O’Toole footbridge at St Dominic’s Road shortly before 4am on January 1, 2014.

Murder charges against the seven were dropped in November, after five of them pleaded guilty to Dale Creighton’s manslaughter and their two co-accused pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

The seven before the court are all originally from Tallaght however, none are currently living in the area.

They are Aisling Burke and her older brother David Burke – Beechpark, Collinstown, Co Westmeath.

Graham Palmer – Park Avenue, Portarlington, Co Laois. 

Ross Callery – Co Dublin.

James Reid – Glen Aoibhinn, Gorey, Co Wexford.

Jason Beresford – Castledermot, Co Kildare.

Gerard Stephens – Grosvner Square, Rathmines.
