Society for Old Lucan: Protect, Highlight and Promote

A small but dedicated group of local historians and conservationists set up the Society for Old Lucan (SOL) five years ago, and the group has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Just last week, the group unearthed rare and intact ‘acoustic jars’ in Lucan, which were previously used as a primitive acoustic system in Mass services in medieval times, particularly in France.
