Specsavers employ 32 staff at Tallaght store

CONTINUING its commitment to improve the service it offers to the local community, Specsavers Tallaght has undergone an impressive refurbishment at the the Square Shopping Centre.

Speaking of the refurb, store director James Ryan, says: ‘At Specsavers, we are committed to developing and improving our store so that customers have access to the latest technology as well as in-store expertise from qualified optometrists and audiologists, paired with outstanding standards of customer service.  We’re really looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers to our new and improved store.’

Specsavers Tallaght Team

Specsavers Tallaght continues to place an unrivalled focus on continued professional development and technological advancement. It also offers an unparalleled optical and hearing service that caters for all sectors of the market; from kids to the fashion-conscious male and female glasses wearer, those seeking glasses for work or other lifestyle purposes, as well as contact lens and hearing aid wearers.

The store strives to ensure customers receive the best possible care and advice for all their optical and hearing needs, as reflected in this store refurbishment.

From routine eye examinations to complex contact lens fittings, Specsavers Tallaght can provide all aspects of professional eyecare.  The store now boasts three optical testing rooms and there has been significant investment in the latest optical technology, most recently Digital Precision Eyecare.

This is a cutting-edge way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses using imaging software on tablet devices. Spectacles are manufactured in the store’s on-site lab, to ensure a customer’s order is ready as quickly as possible.

Booking an eye test has never been easier with the new online booking service and with the new changes to PRSI optical benefits, available to both employed and self-employed workers, alongside Specsavers’ great value offers, there is no reason why all adults should not prioritise their eyes in their overall health check.

In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Tallaght also specialises in hearing with an on-site hearing centre, overseen by audiologist Michael McComish.

The store provides free three-minute hearing screenings. There is no need to book an appointment and the screener lets customers know whether they would benefit from a full hearing test, which takes about an hour.

With rigorous training programmes in place for staff and investment in the best technology available, Specsavers is always striving to improve its service for the people of Tallaght.

Since opening in 2001, the Specsavers Tallaght team has increased from a team of eight to 32, which now comprises six optometrists, one dispensing optician, one audiologist and one hearcare assistant.
