ST ANNE’S GAA is hosting its inaugural Joe McNally Masters 7’s Tournament this Saturday, August 31 – and the community is invited to come along.

Kicking off over the All-Ireland weekend, the tournament is open to county and club master teams – with clubs from Dublin and further afield taking part in this over 40’s Masters.

Players must be born in 1979 or before, with 12-player squads per club.

All of the games, which will be 10 minutes-a-half with unlimited subs, will be played on Saturday, August 31, the day before the All- Ireland Final.

Living in Tallaght, Joe McNally, an All-Ireland medal winner and GAA All Star, said: “Masters football is a high standard.

“You have players who know what the game is all about.

“And it’s a nice way of meeting up with people you mightn’t have seen for years.”

Alongside plenty of football on the day, there will be lots of family fun, including face-painting, balloon-making and a magic show.

Music will also be available in the club later in the evening.
