BALLYBODEN St Enda’s raised the Dublin Intermediate Two Camogie Championship title following their 0-9 to 1-3 triumph over Whitehall Colmcille in the final at Abbotstown on Sunday
It was Whitehall who drew first blood when a free that fell short saw Shauna Harte snap it up and fire over before Hollyn Kennedy restored parity when she sent a free between the posts.

Ballyboden began to turn the screw and their pressure earned them two 65’s in quick succession, but neither one was converted although Erica Tobin did edge the Firhouse Road side in front for the first time when she pointed from a tight angle.
Ciara Lambert enlarged the deficit but Eile O’Ceallaigh reduced her side’s arrears to a solitary point just before the halftime recess.
And they jumped back in the driving seat after the recess when O’Ceallaigh found the back of the net following an attacking move involving Ailbhe Noonan, Sophie McCarthy and Aoife Wade.
A couple of Ballyboden sidelines in the Whitehall half were repulsed before Kennedy pointed and Ciara Barnes pounced on a loose ball to send it over the bar.
Whitehall responded with a spell of attack that saw Harte strike narrowly wide and Aoife Wade’s free parried away.

Ballyboden’s Olivia Meagher made a great run into the Whitehall half before helping find Julie Vaughan and Hollyn Kennedy who scored their third unanswered point.
Kennedy added another point for Ballyboden before Wade whipped a free over the bar.
Whitehall could not withstand the mounting Boden pressure that saw Kennedy despatch the ball over the bar from a free in what was the final score of the match.
It was a great achievement for this team and in particular goalkeeper Rachel Walsh and midfielder Aoife Barnes who have been part of this outfit for a number of years.
The former was injured for this game having played right throughout the campaign with Orla O’Shea stepping in for the decider and guarding the net very well while Barnes lined out alongside her sister Ciara.
“I was absolutely delighted for the team” said Ballyboden manager George O’Shea.
“Last year we were in Inter One and we were fairly comprehen-sively beaten by a lot of teams, but the team just regrouped. They’re a lovely bunch of players” he added.
On another note, Ballyboden St Enda’s will contest the Junior C Championship Final against Naomh Brid after they beat Setanta in the penultimate rounds of their competition.
