St Mark’s honours 44 years of achievement

ST MARK’S Taekwondo Tallaght celebrated their 44th birthday this month having first opened their doors back in October of 1982.

Based out of St Mark’s Community school, St Mark’s is run by ITF Grandmaster Valerie Keane 9th degree who is senior instructor.

Just recently the school held grade promotions where a number of students made progress, achieving the next steps of their Taekwondo journey.

14 students were presented with their RITA Grading certificate from ITF Grandmaster Keane and 5th degree black belt Mr Roe who both acted as examiners on the day.

Assisting on the day was Mr Doyle as well as three junior black belts from the club, Eamon, Seamus and Onish.

Last and by no means least Clodagh was presented with St Mark’s grading award for her continued perseverance. She successfully achieved 7th Kup (green tag). The club is extremely proud of all students who were involved on the day.

Their continued progression in the sport shows that hard work, continuous training and practice do pay off and are required to be successful in Taekwon-Do.
