Stag party took precedence over court appearance for Tallaght teen

THERE WAS no appearance for a teenager (17) in Tallaght Court as he was at his brother’s stag party.

The teenager, with an address in Tallaght, had pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and having no insurance at a location in Tallaght on July 27, 2016.

He was before the court to hear the facts.

The teenager’s solicitor, Michael Hennessy, told Judge Alan Mitchell that his client was at his brother’s stag party.

Judge Mitchell asked where the stag was taking place. He asked: “Is it at a local hostelry?” Mr Hennessy said no.

He asked the judge to adjourn the case for three weeks.

Judge Mitchell adjourned the case for three weeks.
