Stephen Lynch funeral arrangements announced ahead of community vigil tonight

The arrangements for the funeral of Stephen Lynch who was murdered in Tallaght last Thursday night have been announced ahead of a community vigil set to take place in Glenshane tonight.

The funeral will take place on Friday morning, April 21 at 11am in St Aidan’s Church in Brookfield, followed by a burial at Newlands Cross Cemetery.

Tonight’s vigil will take place at the family home of Stephen in Glenshane and will begin at 9pm.

There has been huge support from within the community for the family of the father-of-three, with many leaving flowers and tributes outside the family home.

A minutes applause was also held at Tallaght stadium on Monday evening before the EA Sports Cup game between Shamrock Rovers.
