Success at Pitch and Putt Stroke Play Championships

THE Dublin County Board Stroke Play Championships took place at Lucan Pitch and Putt club last weekend.

On Saturday the Intermediate Division took place with Pat McDermott of Lucan taking top honours with a score of -11.

It was a family affair as his brother, John, is the Captain this year and presented him with the trophy.

In a clean sweep for the home club, runner-up was Pat Byrne of Lucan and third was Conor Gorey of Lucan.

Sunday brought the Junior and Senior divisions.

The junior division was particularly exciting as two players tied after 36 holes and went to a three hole play-off that then went to sudden death.
