Tallaght Community Health Awareness Month – Check out free events here…
TALLAGHT Community Health Awareness Month is entering its third week of events this Monday, October 18, with another packed schedule of free events for all in the community.
Health Awareness Month has grown from the popular Tallaght Health Fair, which due to current guidelines cannot go ahead in its traditional format this year.
However, seeing a need for people to learn, engage and connect with local health services, supports and activities, the first-ever Tallaght Community Health Awareness Month was launched.
Week 3 events run from Monday, October 18, to Friday, October 22, with lots on for people of all ages.
On the agenda this week are Tips for Anxiety, a Gardening Workshop, Mindfulness Yoga and a number of events provided by the Marie Keating Foundation.
There are also spaces left on the Healthy Food Made Easy Programmes, a six-week HSE online programme designed to help people develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to eat well and improve their health.
The first Zoom programme is being delivered by Clondalkin Library starting Thursday, October 21 from 10am to 11.45am. Call 01 4593315 for details.
The second Zoom programme is being delivered by North Clondalkin Library on Friday, October 22, between 10am and 11.45am. Call 01 4149269 for details. Alternatively register on the libraries’ Facebook page.
