Tallaght Hospital staff create incredible Christmas trees
Staff have injected some Christmas cheer onto the hallways of Tallaght Hospital as part of the annual Christmas tree competition.
Last year staff from several departments created and/or decorated trees using items from their specific departments, with some pretty amazing results.
And this time around the creations are just as incredible, with the upside down tree from the dialysis crew really impressing.
Made from containers used for packaging syringes, the upside tree (below) even has presents and a star included, and is covered in lights.
Other notable contributions include the ‘Communitree’ (above), which is decorated using items from several different departments.
Meanwhile, the aptly named ‘Wee Tree’ is made from unused containers patients use to…well… you get where we’re going with that one!
The Acute Medical Unit even came up with wall decorations made from tourniquets (below) while those in the operating theatres produced some impressive figurines (below) to accompany their tree.
The Children’s Outpatient’s department also chipped in with a brilliant effort, made entirely from bandages (above), while a fully decorated Elf Tree (below) really makes an impression.
The hospital staff always make a huge effort, and throughout the campus there are decorations and trees to brighten up the hallways.
According to our source, the competition has been ‘fierce’ this year, with the Dialysis Department tree currently the front-runner.
Again, thanks so much to all the staff who do incredible work right throughout the year, and to Triona Murphy for sending us the pics – have a great Christmas guys.
