Tallaght man charged with having child pornography

A TALLAGHT man charged with possessing child pornography has been sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court.

Philip Nolan was before Judge Patricia McNamara for service of his book of evidence.

A solicitor for the DPP told Judge McNamara that the book of evidence was ready to be served. She said the DPP had consented for Nolan to be sent forward on bail to present sitting of Dublin Circuit Court.

Nolan, aged 28, with an address at Ambervale Estate, Tallaght, is charged with possessing child pornography: images of child pornography at the above address on May 4, 2011.

He is also charged with possessing child pornography: text stories of child pornography and with possessing child pornography: a video of child pornography both at the above address and also on May 4, 2011.

Judge McNamara issued Nolan with the alibi caution and sent him forward on bail to the present sitting of Dublin Circuit Court.
