Tallaght set for Lidl jobs boost

German discount supermarket giant Lidl is set to create up to 600 new jobs, with some of the positions expected to be based in their new head office in Tallaght village.

Staff moved into the new Lidl HQ earlier this year, and the state of the art offices look set to see more staff coming through their doors with today’s announcement.

The jobs look set to come on board over the next two years, with a €110 million capital investment plan in the pipeline.

Lidl already employs over 4,000 people in Ireland, and with the growth of the company set to continue, the new jobs will be spread across several areas.

Roles on offer will include managers, deputy managers and store assistants, while employees for warehouse and distribution support will also be recruited to work in Lidl’s new largest warehouse which will be based in Newbridge.
