Tallaght teen accused of smashing car windscreen and trespassing

A TEENAGER accused of smashing a car windscreen and trespass at a Tallaght Golf club has appeared before Tallaght Court. Calvin Carlyle was represented by his solicitor, Michael Hennessy.

Carlyle, aged 19, with an address at Gleann Na Heorna, Springfield, Tallaght, is charged with damaging the windscreen of a car at Hazelgrove Golf Club, Blessington Road, Tallaght, on June 1, 2016.

He is also charged with trespassing at Hazelgrove Golf Club also on June 1 last.

Sergeant Michael Ahern told Judge Patricia McNamara that the DPP had directed summary disposal. He said the alleged damage to the car came to €500.

Judge McNamara accepted jurisdiction.

Mr Hennessy said that he had received disclosure in the case but not any cctv.

Sgt Ahern said there was no cctv.

Mr Hennessy asked the judge for a remand to go through the case with his client.

Judge McNamara remanded Carlyle on continuing bail to a date in February for a plea or a date for hearing.
