Tallaght teen who assaulted security guard pleads guilty to stealing hoodie

A TEENAGER who assaulted a security guard and stole a hoodie has been remanded for a probation report by Tallaght Court.

The teenager’s solicitor, Michael Hennessy, told Judge Bernardette Owens that his client is just about to turn 18 and asked that his client be dealt with as a juvenile.

The 17-year-old, who has an address in Tallaght, pleaded guilty to stealing a hoodie worth €100 from a shop in the Square and to assaulting a security guard at the Square, both on March 1, 2017.

Judge Owens remanded the teenager on continuing bail to a date in October for a probation report.
