Teenager arrested in relation to Reece Cullen stabbing

A teenager has been arrested this morning in relation to a fatal stabbing in Jobstown yesterday afternoon.

17-year-old Reece Cullen was stabbed and killed outside a house in Kilclare Crescent at 3:30pm.

The victim was rushed to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem will take place today.

A statement from Gardai said: “Gardaí have arrested a male juvenile in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at Kilclare Crescent, Jobstown, yesterday afternoon Thursday 5th January, 2017 at approximately 3pm.

“The male was arrested in the Tallaght area this morning, Friday 6th January 2017 shortly after 7am.

“He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.”
