Third person arrested in relation to Gibson murder investigation

A THIRD person was arrested today, Wednesday, March 27, in relation to the fatal shooting of John Gibson (28) in Citywest on September 18, 2017.
A Garda spokesperson told The Echo: “A man (29) was arrested today, March 27, 2019 in relation to the fatal shooting in Citywest Shopping Centre on September 18, 2017.

“He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939. This brings the total number of arrests to date for this incident to three.”
A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday and was released without charge on Tuesday night with a file going to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
On Tuesday night, March 26, a 23-year-old female was arrested in connection with the same investigation.
She remains detained Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939.
Today’s arrest brings the total number of arrests to date for this incident to three.
