This Other Kingdom sign UK deal

Psych rockers This Other Kingdom have signed a record deal with UK label Wrong Way Records for the release of their second album Rêveur.

The band released their debut album ‘Telescopic’ independently in April 2015 and since it’s release they have worked hard to secure a label for their upcoming release.

Drummer Git Sweeney spoke to The Echo about the signing.

‘It’s great for us to have this deal, we worked so hard on our debut album and funded it completely independently so to have a label come on board now to release the new album is brilliant.

“We released ‘Telescopic’ as a kind of demo album to put ourselves in the shop window for record labels and we had a bit of interest, before finally deciding that Wrong Way Records was the right label for us.’

The band are now looking forward to the album which will be out in April 2017 and will be accompanied by a launch gig in Dublin and also in Manchester along with Irish, UK and European tour dates.

Busy times ahead for the band which has two members from Tallaght.

If you want to see This Other Kingdom live they will be playing the Retro Revival Indie Club Christmas party in the Grand Social on December 20.
