Three men arrested after high-speed pursuit in Clondalkin

A high-speed pursuit in Clondalkin last night involving several garda vehicles and air support from the garda helicopter ended with three men being arrested.

The vehicle the men were travelling in failed to stop on the Nangor Road around 10:30pm when it was observed driving dangerously, and it continued to speed through estates including Greenfort and Neilstown.

At one point the car broke through a red light, putting other drivers at serious risk, and local units from Clondalkin, Ronanstown and DMR Traffic followed, before apprehending the occupants a short time later.

A garda spokesperson confirmed to Echo.ie that three men were arrested in Clondalkin last night and that they were taken to Clondalkin Garda Station in relation to a case of dangerous driving.

The arrests took place in the Neilstown Road area at approximately 10:30pm.

It is believed the vehicle may have been involved in burglaries in the Blackrock area yesterday.
