Twenty-two houses soon ready for allocation

THERE are 34 vacant properties in Tallaght, according to South Dublin County Council, and 22 are expected to be ready for allocation in the first quarter of this year.

The local authority released these figures at a recent meeting of the Tallaght Area Committee, broken down into a number of time frames denoting how long the houses have been left vacant.

Fifteen properties have been vacant for between zero and three months, while 14 have been vacant for between three and six months.

Three properties have been vacant for between six and nine months, and two properties have been vacant for between nine and 12 months.

Out of the 34 vacant properties, 22 are expected to be ready for allocation in the first quarter of this year.

The majority of the houses to be allocated are in MacUiliam, totalling seven two-bed and two three-bed houses in the estate.

Elsewhere, two two-bed houses in Ard Mór will be allocated, while one house in each of the following areas, Russell Estate, St Aonghus, Tymon North, Brookview, Raheen, Drumcairn, Fortunestown, Brookfield, Deerpark and Rossfield are earmarked for allocation.
