Two local men appear in court charged with conspiracy to murder

Two local men have appeared before Dublin District Court this morning charged with conspiracy to murder.

The men, Stephen Dunne (38) of Meile an Ri Drive, Balgaddy, Lucan and Garry Gleeson (34) of Muskerry Road, Ballyfermot, were also charged with the possession of a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Both men were arrested last Monday evening when the van they were travelling was stopped and searched in Ballyfermot by Gardai.

The men were remanded in custody this morning and will appear again before the court on August 18.
