Two men arrested following drugs and cash seizure in Tallaght

TWO men were arrested following the seizure of €108,687 worth of drugs and €69,930 in cash in the Tallaght area on Tuesday, September 14.

As part of Operation Tara, gardai conducted a search of a residential property in Brookview Drive around 3.40pm on Tuesday  and discovered €69,930 in cash.

According to a Garda statement released, in a follow up search at a residence in New Seskin Court, shortly before 8.30pm on Tuesday evening, gardai seized €81,662 worth of cocaine and €27,025 worth of MDMA.

All drugs will now be sent for analysis.

The Garda statement said: “Two men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 30s were arrested as a result.

“The man in his 30s has since been charged and is due to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10.30am this morning, Wednesday 15 September 2021.

“The man in his 20s has since been released without charge with a file now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
