Two Tallaght men appear on €21,000 drugs charges after seizure in Killinarden

TWO MEN, charged in connection with the seizure of over €20,000 worth of cocaine and over €1,000 worth of cannabis in Tallaght last week, have appeared before Tallaght Court.
Judge Marie Quirke refused bail in Laurence Grocott’s case and released Anthony Clarke on bail with conditions.
Grocott, aged 32, with an address at Cushlawn Estate, Tallaght, and Clarke, aged 44, with an address at Killinarden Estate, also Tallaght, are charged with simple possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for sale or supply, simple possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis for sale or supply at Clarke’s address on March 22, 2016.
The court heard it will be alleged that Grocott and Clarke were found in possession of cocaine worth €23,000 and cannabis worth €1,299.
Judge Quirke released Clarke on his own bail of €100 and on condition that he reside at his home address and have no contact with his co-accused. She remanded him to a date in May for DPP directions.
Refusing bail for Grocott, she remanded him in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Friday, March 31.
