Uninsured driver put off road for 2 years
AN UNINSURED driver has been put off the road for two years by Tallaght Court.
Judge Conall Gibbons also fined Raphael Momoh €300.
Momoh, aged 23, with an address at MacUilliam Crescent, Fortunestown, Tallaght, pleaded guilty to having no insurance and no driving licence at Firhouse Road West, Firhouse, on February 2, 2017.
Garda Alan Duffy told Judge Gibbons that he stopped Momoh on the Firhouse Road West on the above date.
He said Momoh chose to produce his driving licence and insurance certificate at Tallaght Garda station but failed to do so. Garda Duffy said Momoh had no previous convictions.
Momoh’s solicitor, Padraig O’Donovan, said his client is on jobseekers allowance and is looking for work.
He said Momoh is a father of two young children. Judge Gibbons fined Momoh €200 with a two-year ban for having no insurance and €100 for having no driving licence.
