WATCH: Illegal dumping captured in Clondalkin
In one Clondalkin estate, illegal dumping has really gotten bad post-xmas.
Along one passage, you can see burnt out mattresses, wrecked buggies, rubbish, discarded children’s toys and a number of empty bottles and cans of alcohol.

It’s only a minority of people doing this in the Shancastle area.
However, more needs to be done to tackle this behaviour, according to councillor Mark Ward, who contacted The Echo after taking this video in the morning.
Illegal dumping continues to be a big problem, with complaints in the county rising by 43 per cent this year. Figures released by South Dublin County Council this month show that 4,680 complaints were lodged last year in relation to illegal dumping in Dublin, whereas the figures for complaints in 2017 climbed to 6,703.
