Garda Reynolds said Brennan had “put his hands up”.

Garda Reynolds said he found €20 worth of cannabis in Brennan’s possession.

He said Brennan had no previous convictions.

Brennan, aged 23, with an address at Dunawley Green, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to having no insurance, no driving licence and simple possession of cannabis in Clondalkin on February 11, 2019.

Brennan’s solicitor, Simon Fleming, said his client had never been in trouble before. Mr Fleming said Brennan has been going through a difficult time as his father had died recently.

Convicting, Judge McHugh fined Brennan €100 for having no insurance and imposed a two-year driving ban.

He took the remaining charges into consideration.
