
UPDATE: Almost 400 Ballyfermot homes without power until tomorrow evening due to a fire
(UPDATED at 21:45)
An update from ESB Networks has confirmed that power will not be restored to almost 400 homes on Ballyfermot until tomorrow evening.
The fault in the area is due to a fire at an ESB sub station in the Blackditch Road area that has now been extinguished by Dublin Fire Brigade.

In an update from ESB Networks that said: “Following a fire at our Ballyfermot substation customers involved will not have their power restored tonight.
“We apologise to customers in Ballyfermot and will get everyone back as quickly and safely as possible.”
According to the latest update power is estimated to be returned to the 382 homes at 8pm tomorrow night.
There are also disruptions to traffic lights in the Blackditch Road area, with the AA warning motorists to take care.
