Volunteer walk leaders sought by Irish Red Cross for Healthy Steps Walk roles
THE Irish Red Cross will be holding their first Healthy Steps Walk in Tallaght this Saturday, October 26, at the Kingswood Community Centre, and the charity is also looking for volunteer walk leaders to lead walking groups in Tallaght.
The Healthy Steps Walk is free and open to all, and will start at the community centre at 10am, with tea and coffee in the centre afterwards at a cost of €2.
The volunteer walk leaders, must be 18 or older and will be required to become a member of the Irish Red Cross – full training for the role will be provided.
The Irish Red Cross walking groups themselves will be open to all ages and fitness levels in the local community, but it should be noted that anyone under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
