When I See You Again: PictureHouse asking people for photos for video

By Hayden Moore

Picturehouse have released a new song titled ‘When I See You Again’, about hope and wanting to see someone you care about in these trying times.

Fronted by Firhouse singer-songwriter Dave Browne, the latest single from Picturehouse has been released as part of a video campaign where people are encouraged to send in photos of their loved ones as a message of love during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The song has a slow melody, and builds up gradually to make an all-round powerful tune that would not be out of place in a Disney movie.

‘When I See You Again’ was written during the pandemic and as Dave explains, it puts what a lot of people are feeling into music.

I woke up recently at 5am and I wrote ‘When I See You Again’ as it was how I was feeling in this strange time and I am sure lots of us feel the same,” he said.

“This is a song of love and longing, and a way to let all of the people we care about know.

“So we are inviting everyone who has a message they want to send to upload a photograph memory or picture, as a message from you to them.

“We will then put these pictures into videos of this song and release new ones every day for you to share with the ones you love.

“I know we are all missing someone else so let’s send this message of love to them all.”

Photos of your loved ones can be submitted at www.picturehouse.ie, where they will be placed into a new music video of the single.

PictureHouse dominated the airwaves in Ireland back in 1998 when their song ‘Sunburst’ became the most played song of the year.

The group signed to Warner Music and toured with the likes of The Saw Doctors, Meatloaf, The Corrs and Bon Jovi – playing to over a million people in ’99.

After a decade apart, the band reunited in 2013 for their album ‘Evolution’ and released ‘How Can I Explain How This Came to Be?’ in 2017, a compilation album of B-sides, unheard and live tracks from 1996-99.
