DRIMNAGH Castle is the venue for the annual WALK Winter Wonderland, which takes place from Friday, December 7, to Sunday, December 9, reports Maurice Garvey
The historic surroundings of Drimnagh Castle provide the backdrop for Santa, Mrs Claus and a host of elves and helpers for the weekend’s festivities.

WALK, a service provider for people with disabilities, is hosting its sixth annual Winter Wonderland fair at the castle.
Visiting children can meet Santa, and enjoy singing and dancing while browsing WALK’s Christmas market, which provides a lovely mix of seasonal gifts, local artisan wares and tasty treats.
Joe Mason, CEO, WALK, said: “Our Winter Wonderland event provides a unique opportunity for the people we support to be meaningfully involved in their local communities.
“WALK, as an organisation, has used these events to build stronger community ties and to strengthen partnerships with local businesses and groups.
“We are hugely grateful to have so much local support in terms of sponsorship and also through the large number of people who are kindly offering their time and skills to volunteer to make this event extra special.
“Volunteers include the people we support through WALK, staff, friends and neighbours, local community youth dance troops, local volunteer groups, students from IT Tallaght, and local business people.”
