Woman (30s) injured after firearm incident in Jobstown

GARDAI are investigating after a woman attended Tallaght University Hospital last night with a suspected gunshot injury.

According to a Garda statement issued, at around 10.10pm on Tuesday evening, November 21, gardai received reports of the discharge of a firearm at a residential premises in the Jobstown area.

Gardai said: “A woman aged, in her 30s, presented to Tallaght Hospital with a suspected gunshot injury. 

“Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.”

Later in the evening, gardai and emergency services attended incidents of criminal damage by fire of a car and of a house at separate locations in the Jobstown area.

According to gardai, no other injuries have been reported.

Scenes have been put in place by gardai and technical examinations are ongoing.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Investigating gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the Jobstown area, between 9.30pm and 3.00am and who may have witnessed these incidents to come forward.

They are also appealing to those with camera footage or to any motorist with dash cam footage to make it available to them.
