Woman arrested as €410k of drugs seized in Tallaght
GARDAI seized €410,000 worth of various controlled drugs during a search operation at an address in Tallaght on Wednesday.
Gardai attached to the Dublin Crime Response Team conducted a search under warrant at a house in Tallaght, with one woman (40s) arrested at the scene.
According to a Garda statement issued: “During the course of the search, cannabis, cocaine, heroin (Diamorphine), alprazloman and zopiclone were seized alongside drugs paraphernalia including scales and two large vacuum packing machines.
“The total value of the drugs seized is €410,000 and all drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
“One woman (aged in her 40s) was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in Dublin.”
Investigations are ongoing, gardai said.
UPDATE: Gardai have confirmed that the woman (40s) arrested in connection with this seizure of €410k worth of various controlled drugs has been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice.
