
Woman fined €80 for parking in disabled space without permit
A WOMAN who parked in a disabled parking space without a permit was fined €80 by Tallaght District Court.
Saoirse Weldon told Judge Patricia McNamara that she has a permit for her daughter.
Weldon, with an address at Palmerstown Square, Palmerstown, pleaded not guilty to parking in a disabled space without a permit at Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown, on January 23, 2018.
A Parking Warden told the court that at 2.49pm he came across a car parked in a disabled bay on Kennelsfort Road without a permit. He said he issued an on the spot fine and placed the ticket on the windscreen.
He said the fine had not been paid.
Weldon said she had a disabled permit for her daughter. She produced it in court.
She told Judge McNamara that the permit might have fallen down the windscreen.
Judge McNamara fined Weldon €80.
