€1k to replace burned picnic bench in park

A REPLACEMENT for a burned out picnic bench in Tymon park will cost €1,000.
Following an act of vandalism on the bench in February this year, the council have confirmed that the Public Realm Section are currently in the process of making a replacement for the burned out picnic bench.
The council are currently making a replacement picnic bench at a cost of €1,000 for Tymon Park
The bench, which is located at the Spawell end of the park, was set on fire using BBQ charcoal and has been completely unusable to the public since.
The council stated that the estimated cost to remove the destroyed picnic bench and replace it with a new one will be approximately €1,000.
