PLANS for the development of 26 apartments across two blocks on the Greenhills Road in Tallaght have been submitted to South Dublin County Council.

Planning has been lodged for 26 apartments in Tallaght Village

The proposal includes the demolition of three existing apartment units and a bin store to make way for the two apartment blocks.

A total of 11 apartments are to be housed in the first block, with a height of five- to six-storeys, while the second block comprises 15 apartments in a three- to five-storey building.

The breakdown of the apartment units is five studio apartments, six one-bedroom apartments, seven two-bedroom apartments and eight three-bedroom apartments.

Provision of 13 car parking spaces and 74 long-stay bicycle parking spaces is included.

It is noted in the application that the subject site is currently partly developed with an existing residential scheme known as Greenhills Court, comprising 17 apartment units in four apartment blocks ranging in height from two- to four-storeys.

A decision on the planning application is due from the local authority by July 22.
