The Council have confirmed that recently the CCTV system has been modified at a cost of €7,635 to include an audio facility to deter groups from congregating at the Old Bawn Pavilion in the park.

Residents have called certain areas of the park a “no-go zone” after a certain time of the evening due to gangs congregating to drink, sell drugs and engage in intimidating behaviour in recent months.

CCTV has also been installed on the greenway at Old Bawn and Seskin View to Firhouse via the bridges over the Dodder River and Ballycullen stream as part of the National Transport Authority project at a cost of approximately €80,000.
