ACE students joy at receiving bursaries

STUDENTS from St Aidan’s Community School, Killinarden Community School and Mount Seskin Community College received bursary awards and certificates of achievement to acknowledge their success on the Access College Education (ACE) programme.

23 students took part in the programme with their ambition of going on to third level college and university.

“These students are role models in our school and the community. This award is a real boost for our students progressing in college,” Eamonn Nolan, co-ordinator of ACE told The Echo.

The event took place in St Aidan’s Community College with parents and teachers from each school attending along with current ACE students from the three schools.

“The students are delighted at what they have achieved. It’s a real boost for them in progressing their career,” added Eamonn.
