Armed Gardai dealing with ‘serious incident’ in Crumlin church

Gardai and other emergency services are currently at the scene of what has been described as a ‘serious incident’ in Crumlin this evening involving trained negotiators.

A large Garda presence, including armed officers, and Dublin Fire Brigade are at St Agnes’ Church in Crumlin village.

Some roads in the area have also been closed, and a number of officers are believed to have entered the church.

In a statement released in the last few minutes a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are at the scene of an incident on St Agnes Road, Crumlin and the road is closed and diversions are in place.

“No further information at this stage.”
