Biopharma company AbbVie in first place and also named as Best Work Place for Women

A NUMBER of South Dublin County businesses were among the winners at the Great Place to Work Awards 2020.

Biopharma company AbbVie, which has commercial headquarters in Citywest, was listed among the Best Large Workplaces in Ireland for the seventh successive year.

AbbVie was ranked No. 1 Best Large Workplace and remains the highest placed company in the biopharma/pharmaceutical industry across all categories.

They have been placed in the top three companies for the past five years and were also named as a Best Place to Work for Women at the awards ceremony.

AbbVie’s Country HR Director, Samantha Commons said: “Being ranked as one of Ireland’s best workplaces seven years in a row is a significant achievement for the company and reflects a long-running commitment to create and maintain a high-performing company culture.”

Park West company Workhuman ranked No. 4 in the Best Large Workplace.

Formerly known as Globoforce, last year Workhuman was ranked No. 1 in the Best Medium category.

Co-founded by Tallaght man Eric Mosley in 1999, the company has enjoyed exceptional growth and forecast a rise in revenues to more than €629m last year, up from €448m in 2018.

Britvic Ireland, based in Kylemore, ranked 11 in Best Large Workplace.

Citywest tobacco company JTI Ireland ranked No. 3 in the Best Medium category.

In Best Small category, Kingswood based Candence Ireland ranked No. 35, followed by Ballymount’s PEI ranked 9, Baldonnell-based Walls to Workstations ranked 21, and Red Cow based 3 Dental ranked 37.
