Cannabis worth an approximate €70k seized in Tallaght
CANNABIS worth approximately €70,000 was seized on Sunday evening in the Tallaght area.
According to a Garda statement released today, gardai from the Tallaght District Drugs Unit observed a vehicle driving “erratically” in the Donomore estate on Sunday evening, October 18.
“This vehicle was subsequently stopped and approximately 2.5kg of cannabis was located in the vehicle”, the Garda statement said.
“A follow up search of an address in the Tallaght area yielded a further find of 1kg of cannabis.
“The total value of the drugs seized is approximately €70,000 subject to forensic analysis.
“A male in his 40’s was arrested and detained in respect of the drugs seizure.”
The man arrested is due to appear before Tallaght District Court today charged in relation to this incident.
