Celebration time for pupils and staff at St Ronan’s

ST RONAN’S school in Clondalkin had plenty to celebrate this week when they received the Green Flag for Global Citizenship and Energy and were also regional award winners in that category.

As part of the celebrations, St Ronan’s were also celebrating their award for Table Tennis School of the Year with the boys and girls team securing the All-Ireland title.

The school also opened their new running path, outdoor classroom and sensory garden and a crew from RTE News2day came to video the celebrations.

This is the 7th green flag for St Ronan’s and outgoing Mayor Peter Kavanagh from Clondalkin and All-Ireland boxer Winnie McDonogh were among the guests on the day.

McDonogh, from Neilstown had the bronze medal on show which she won at the  European Youth Championships in Bulgaria.
