Circle K at The Square granted permission for off-licence

CIRCLE K have been granted permission to have an off-licence on premises at its service station at The Square, Tallaght.

The applicant, Ard Services Ltd, which trades as Circle K, has been granted permission for the change of use from permitted retail to retail use including the sale of alcohol for off premises consumption.

South Dublin County Council granted the permission on the grounds that, as stated in the application, the overall floor area of the off-licence use is no more than 10 sq m.

The off-licence will not be a separate area within the store, instead it will be located to the rear with a section of shelving in the open-plan store.

Associated alteration of the existing retail and all associated site and development works made up the remainder of the application.

Owners of the land where The Square Circle K Service Station is located, James Cummins and Michael Hayden, gave permission to Ard Services to make the planning application.

There were no objections from the local authorities consultations with the HSE Environmental Health Officer, Irish Water, Environmental Services or Roads, with no third party submissions received.

Subject to a licence to sell alcohol, the sale of alcohol at the site will be limited to store trading hours. Permission was granted on July 12.
