Citywest operating walk-in booster clinics over coming weeks

CITYWEST Vaccination Centre are operating various walk-in booster vaccination clinics which will be published on the HSE’s website and Twitter page as the booster programme ramps up.

The walk-in clinic is operating at different hours over the coming weeks and available days and times for those eligible to receive their booster jab will be published and updated on the HSE’s website and the HSE Twitter page daily.

Since last Sunday, walk-in boosters are now available for the first time for everyone over 40 in vaccination centres, GPs and pharmacies. Initially the date for the over 40’s cohort to receive their booster jab was December 27 but has been brought forward amid growing concerns over the Omicron variant.

The walk-in booster clinics are currently open for people aged 40 years and older, pregnant women and healthcare workers at certain vaccination centres. The booster is available for those who had their last dose more than 90 days ago.

Citywest Vaccination Centre are currently doing dose 1 and dose 2 walk-in clinics but you can register online to get an appointment on the HSE’s website.

Walk-in testing for Covid-19 is not available at the moment, but you can book a free PCR test online or through your GP. There is a list of test centres available to choose from when you book online through the HSE website.

Up to date queue times for all vaccination clinics including Citywest are available on the HSE’s Twitter page and will be updated regularly which people are encouraged to check it before arriving at the centre.
