And the winner of our Christmas Tree competition is… Imelda Kearns and daughter Emma!

Imelda Kearns and her ten-year-old daughter Emma spent a day decorating their tree in their home in St Maelruan’s Park in Tallaght last month, to coincide with The Late Late Toy Show.

Explaining the method that she applies with her daughter when decorating the tree, Imelda told The Echo: “We just kind of throw everything on, and when it’s nearly full we keep going.

“We have decorations there from when we first moved in, and we always get new decorations every year and keep adding to it, we never take anything away.”

Imelda said that she was delighted when she received a call from The Echo on Monday, informing her that she’d won the Christmas tree competition and a €100 voucher for The Square.

“I was delighted and I was very surprised, and Emma was delighted when I told her,” she said. “I think myself and Emma will go off on a little shopping spree with the voucher.”
