Clondalkin man accused of stealing over €300 worth of Valium and sleeping tablets

A MAN accused of robbing over €300 worth of Valium and sleeping tablets from a Clondalkin pharmacy had his case further remanded for DPP directions.

John Walsh, aged 35, with an address at St Mark’s Avenue, Clondalkin, is charged with robbing controlled substances: Valium, flurazepam and zopiclone worth €335, and a deodorant worth €5, from Smith’s Pharmacy, Chaplin’s Walk, Clondalkin, on October 26, 2016.

The case was before Judge David McHugh in Blanchardstown Court for DPP directions.

There was no appearance from Walsh. Walsh’s solicitor, Terry Hanahoe, said his client is currently in custody.

Judge McHugh remanded the case for one week for Walsh to be brought before the court.
