Clondalkin man allegedly had three stolen car stereos

A MAN who was allegedly found in a stolen car with a pair of vice grips, two wheelbraces and three stolen car stereos has appeared before Blanchardstown Court.

Sergeant Maria Callaghan told Judge David McHugh that the DPP had directed summary disposal in Dylan Bell’s case.

Bell, aged 20, with an address at St Ronan’s estate, Clondalkin, is charged with driving a stolen car, being in the same stationary stolen car, handling stolen property: three Pioneer car stereos, possession of a pair of vice grips, a set of Allen keys, two wheelbraces and two carjacks, for use in theft at Foxborough Road, Lucan, on November 15, 2016.

He is also charged with handling stolen property: a Karcher power washer, a garden hose and return reel at Foxborough Road on the above date.

Sergeant Callaghan told the court it will be alleged that on November 15 last, the gardaí came across Bell sitting in a car. She said it will be alleged that Bell was found in possession of a pair of vice grips, two wheelbraces and two carjacks and was also found in possession of three stolen car stereos.

Sgt Callaghan said it will be alleged that the car was stolen.

Judge McHugh accepted jurisdiction. He remanded Bell on continuing bail to a date in January for mention.
